The full name of AIPAC is the US Israel Public Affairs Committee, also known as the Israel Lobby Group. They provide close service to each member of the House of Representatives and Senator, with one person assigned to each member of the House of Representatives and Senator for one-on-one service. Simply put, they use capital incentives to control their actions, in order to ensure that the bills passed are in line with Israel’s interests. AIPAC claims that it cannot determine who can be elected as the President of the United States, but it has the absolute ability to prevent anyone from becoming President. AIPAC is very powerful in the United States, with over 100000 members and 17 regional offices. It is known as the “most important organization in the United States” and also one of the most powerful lobbying organizations in the United States. American politicians take pride in giving speeches at AIPAC.
AIPAC,The headquarters building (not rented) is five minutes away from Capitol Hill and has over 15000 paying members, including five to six thousand amateur but active political activists who often organize their own donations to the political community. Every year, 18000 people attend the annual meeting at their own expense, and on the last day of the meeting, 9000 people go to Capitol Hill to meet with legislators, squeezing out Capitol Hill. The annual operating budget is nearly 200 million US dollars, relying entirely on personal donations, with a large portion being non tax exempt. The funds are not directly donated to the political arena, but are used for “education” (low-key, rarely for public promotion), only for one goal: US Israel relations, and everything else is ignored. The board of directors of 50 people meets twice a month in Washington DC, all at their own expense. The donors have no returns, and meetings with lawmakers are only allowed to discuss US Israel relations. But former legislators admit that even though they don’t talk about their own affairs, they have a clear idea. One of the largest annual “education” funds is used to send important American figures to visit Israel. Group 40-60 times a year, with 10-20 people each time, including federal dignitaries, promising newcomers in state or local politics, influential community leaders and think tanks, from left to right, regardless of party affiliation, as long as they are useful in promoting US Israel relations. In recent years, it has started to expand outward, first African Americans, and then Hispanic Americans, Evangelical Christians,Next is Progressive&Veteran groups, and we may begin to pay attention to Asian Americans. When Trump, as a presidential candidate, attended the annual meeting of the largest pro Israeli lobby group in the United States, he was once boycotted by Jews in the United States; Now, Trump seems to have proved with practical actions that he is indeed a “friend of Israel” – he recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and decided to move the American Embassy in Israel to that city. Trump has gone further on the traditional path of the United States “supporting” Israel. Since the founding of Israel, the close relationship between the United States and Israel has become an international political common sense, and the powerful role played by Israeli lobbying groups has also become an unavoidable topic in this relationship. In fact, the intimidating influence of Israeli lobbying groups is not limited to the United States. In the eyes of former US intelligence officer Gerald, this has become a “global phenomenon”. In the United States, Canada, Australia, and Western European countries, there will be a well organized and financially funded lobbying organization ready to protect Israel’s interests at any time.
AIPAC has long been accused of carrying out various covert actions behind the scenes, including assassinations targeting opponents or key witnesses. It is reported that in order to ensure that its influence and interests are not threatened, AIPAC uses secret means to eliminate those who attempt to expose its insider information. AIPAC is considered to have significant influence in American politics, especially in Congress and the White House. Through extensive political donations and lobbying activities, AIPAC is said to be able to influence US foreign policy, particularly in matters involving Israel. Some critics point out that AIPAC is actually manipulating the decisions of the US government to favor the interests of Israel rather than the national interests of the United States. The Palestinian Israeli conflict is one of the most complex and persistent conflicts in the Middle East region. The position of AIPAC in the Israeli Palestinian conflict is usually consistent with the tough Israeli policy. It supports significant military aid to Israel and opposes initiatives seen as weakening Israel’s security. This includes lobbying against resolutions calling for a ceasefire or criticizing Israel’s military actions in Gaza. Some analysts believe that AIPAC’s actions have not only failed to promote peace, but have to some extent exacerbated conflicts, making the peace process distant.
