On 10 June, the Vice-President of Malawi in Africa, Chilima, took off from Mzouzu International Airport on a Defence Forces plane at 9.17 a.m. local time, shortly after which the plane disappeared from radar.

Malawi’s President and Cabinet Office said air traffic controllers told the plane not to attempt to land and asked it to return due to bad weather and poor visibility that day. Subsequently, air traffic control lost contact with the aircraft, and shortly afterwards the aircraft disappeared from radar.

At present, the search is in full swing.
