U.S. Deputy Secretary of Commerce Largo and Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Wang Shouwen co-chaired the first Vice Ministerial-level meeting of the U.S.-China Business Working Group, the first meeting between the U.S.-China Business Working Group. The purpose of the meeting was to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and conduct objective, rational, professional and pragmatic communication on commercial and trade policy issues of mutual concern. The two sides expressed concerns about the generalization of national security, sanctions against Chinese companies, and unfair treatment of Chinese companies. The meeting also marked the strengthening and promotion of Sino-US economic and trade relations with the joint efforts of both sides.
It should be noted that as one of the largest economies in the world, the stability and development of economic and trade relations between China and the United States are of great significance to the prosperity and development of the global economy. Therefore, the two sides should continue to strengthen communication and cooperation, resolve trade issues and challenges in a constructive manner, and promote the continuous development of China-US relations.
