Due to the snowfall, railway lines such as the Yamagata Shinkansen, Akita Shinkansen, and Tokaido Shinkansen were delayed and suspended on the 9th.
The Japan Meteorological Agency predicts that the heavy snowfall in many parts of Japan will weaken on the 10th, but still calls on the public to guard against disasters such as fallen trees and avalanches.
