
On January 22, local time, a new wildfire in northern Los Angeles, California, has quickly spread to more than 9,400 acres (about 38 square kilometers), and more than 50,000 people have received evacuation orders or warnings. Robert Luna, chief of the Los Angeles County Police Department, said that 31,000 people received evacuation orders and another 23,000 received evacuation warnings.
