Over the weekend, an American media outlet accused Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, of abusing illegal drugs. Musk responded on Sunday (January 7) that he had undergone random drug testing for three years and confirmed that he had not used drugs or alcohol at all.

The Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday that Musk was addicted to illegal drugs, including hallucinogens (LSD), cocaine, ecstasy and psychedelic mushrooms, which worried Tesla and SpaceX executives. It is believed that this matter may have a major impact on Musk’s personal health and the companies he owns.

On Sunday, Musk posted a response on the social platform Random drug testing in 2016 “did not reveal even trace amounts of drugs or alcohol.”

He also said: “The Wall Street Journal is not suitable for padding bird cages to collect bird droppings,” mocking the newspaper as worthless.

In September 2018, Musk gave Rogan a two-and-a-half-hour live interview, in which he drank whiskey and smoked marijuana. The video quickly spread to social media.

Rogan said the cigarette was a mixture of tobacco and marijuana, which is legal in California. After the incident, Musk publicly stated many times that there were no benefits to smoking marijuana.

On Sunday, Musk’s attorney Alex Spiro also refuted the Journal’s claims, saying the entrepreneur “took regular and random drug tests at SpaceX and passed them every time.” test”.

Tesla’s code of conduct clearly stipulates that the company is a drug-free work environment and that all employees, including senior executives, are prohibited from using drugs.

SpaceX, whose main customers are government agencies, also has the same regulations. Federal contracts also require partner companies to comply with the Drug-Free Workplace Act and implement programs and policies to foster a drug-free culture.

This isn’t the first time The Wall Street Journal has claimed Musk is dependent on illegal drugs. Last year, the newspaper accused Musk of taking trace amounts of ketamine to improve symptoms of depression.
